Product Description

Landing at Centennial Airport, CO

Original Artwork by Michael Combs

Sitting at an elevation of 5,585 ft above sea level, Centennial Airport is located on the south side of the Denver Metropolitan area.

It originally opened in 1967 and has become the third busiest General Aviation Airport in the country. Many pilots train in the “Mile High City” out of the Centennial Airport which also hosts a steady volume of corporate jets and charters.

This Original Artwork piece shows the view from a Light Sport Aircraft on final approach to Runway 17 Right. It is painted with digital pastels which offer a “grainy” appearance. Michael used an airbrush tool to construct the Colorado Blue sky which has a small rolling effect as you look upward from the cockpit.

Using a cloning tool, the runway is in perfect focus highlighting the destination of the landing, and emphasizing the thrill of flight.

This 5"X7" piece of art is printed individually on high quality glossy photo paper in a process that is overseen by Michael personally to assure that the color and quality meets his own artistic standards. It is hand signed, then mounted in an 8”X10” matte that can then be framed and proudly displayed. (Note: Matte Color may not match the photo displayed). The title of the piece is hand written on the matte with a fine point pen giving it a personal touch that is perfect for giving or keeping for a lifetime.
